Workshop during the reach to recovery international conference

The Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer will be hosting their 19th Reach to Recovery International Breast Cancer Support Conference with a theme – improving communication skills in cancer.

Venue is Prague, Czech Republic.

The event is scheduled to bring together patients and medical professionals from around the world to address the needs of women with breast cancer. Delegates will be invited to discuss important themes such as breast cancer in young women, body image after breast cancer, metastatic breast cancer or conditions psychological aspects. In addition, there shall be lots of networking, socializing, and a number of opportunities for the sharing of best practices.

For the end of the conference a very special event is being prepared. Prague will be hosting its 19th Avon Walk. They are inviting everyone to participate in one of the largest breast cancer awareness walks in the world and feel the power of support of thousands of participants.

Wednesday 12 June opens with Pre-conference Workshops 
Thursday, 13 June is the Opening Ceremony after which there will be series of plenary and parallel sessions
Friday continues with plenary and parallel sessions which will be followed by Gala Dinner and a Poster Guided Tour

Topics for the plenary sessions include:
– Breast cancer in young women, catching it early
– Holistic cancer care, 
– Metastatic breast cancer: discussion of the different needs of and issues faced by patients with advanced breast cancer, the latest in research and treatment.

The concurrent sessions will feature Breast cancer in young women, Importance of education and advocacy, Patient navigation, Holistic cancer care – role and types of complementary care Metastatic breast cancer, Body image after breast cancer Psychological aspect of breast cancer, Myth-busting – dispelling the myths about breast cancer among others

Saturday 15 June is the Closing Ceremony & RRI Awards thereafter, the Avon Walk.
